Welcome to Dublin! Upon arrival, settle into The Green Hotel, a stylish retreat perfectly situated across from the serene St. Stephen’s Green. After unpacking, we’ll kick off our Irish adventure with drinks at the iconic Whelan’s Pub, a lively spot known for its role in the film P.S. I Love You. To round out the evening, we’ll enjoy a hearty dinner at the beloved Devitt’s of Camden Street, where traditional Irish charm meets delicious cuisine. It’s the perfect start to our journey through Dublin’s vibrant culture and history!
Day Two
After a full Irish breakfast, step into Dublin’s literary legacy with a visit to Trinity College, the alma mater of iconic writers like Oscar Wilde and Samuel Beckett. Marvel at the Book of Kells, a masterpiece of illuminated manuscript art, and stroll through the enchanting Long Room Library, a haven for book lovers and history enthusiasts alike. Between stops, we’ll pause for lunch on Grafton Street, where the lively atmosphere and cozy eateries capture Dublin’s creative spirit. Next, we’ll visit the stunning St. Patrick’s Cathedral, a testament to Ireland’s spiritual heritage, and uncover the stories within the historic walls of Dublin Castle. For dinner, we’ll visit one of Holly’s all-time favorite restaurants, Pichet, which celebrates local Irish ingredients with a decidedly French flair.
Day Three
Today, we’ll embark on a journey into Ireland’s literary soul with a visit to the Cliffs of Moher, whose dramatic beauty has inspired countless Irish writers and poets. Feel the power of nature that fueled the words of W.B. Yeats and other greats as we take in the breathtaking views of the Atlantic crashing below. From there, we’ll head to Galway, a city steeped in literary history, where you can wander the streets that inspired works by Lady Gregory and James Joyce. Enjoy the vibrant energy of this bohemian haven, with its bookshops, cafés, and rich storytelling tradition, before we return to Dublin filled with the spirit of Ireland’s creativity.
Day Four
Immerse yourself in Ireland’s storytelling heritage with a morning at MoLI—Dublin’s Museum of Literature, where the lives and works of Irish literary greats come to life. Afterward, we’ll gather for lunch at a cozy local pub, savoring hearty dishes and authentic Irish charm. The afternoon is yours to explore: take a reflective walk along the River Liffey, find inspiration for your own writing, or discover one of Dublin’s vibrant shopping districts or hidden gems. In the evening, we’ll come together for dinner before embarking on the famed Literary Pub Crawl, a lively tradition that blends Dublin’s rich pub culture with its world-renowned literary history.
Day Five
On our final day in Dublin, we’ll start with a hearty breakfast before visiting the hauntingly powerful Kilmainham Gaol. This historic site offers a deep dive into Ireland’s struggle for independence and the lives of those who shaped its history. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a classic lunch at one of Dublin’s best fish and chip shops, the aptly named Fish Shop. The afternoon takes us to some of the city’s finest bookshops, perfect for discovering treasures to take home, followed by visits to the charming Marsh’s Library (founded in 1707) and the exquisite Chester Beatty Library, each filled with rare manuscripts and rich stories. We’ll close our Dublin adventure with a farewell dinner at Library Street, a celebrated dining spot that captures the heart of modern Irish cuisine. A fitting finale to our literary and cultural journey!
