Day 4: Klimt & Classics

Vienna isn’t just a hub for music and philosophy, it’s also home to some of the world’s most famous visual artists, including Gustav Klimt, who is most famous for his painting, The Kiss. That painting, and many others, is located at the Upper Belvedere museum, which we’ll visit after breakfast.

After visiting the museum, we’ll have lunch where Sigmund Freud used to sip coffee and test out his theories, Cafe Landtmann.

In the afternoon, choose between a visit to the apartments of Franz Schubert, Josef Haydn or Ludwig von Beethoven. They’re all here in town, and easily accessible by tram, taxi or the metro system.

We’ll dine at Demel, a casual spot famous for pastries and chocolates (don’t worry, they have savory dishes, too), and then make our way to St. Anne’s Church for a memorable string quartet concert.
